Way to go, Karen! This was a truly great first beer. It was a good example of style, and one of the only real faults was that sulphur dominated the taste profile. Sulphur is fine in a koelsch, just not quite as intense as this was, but sulphur typically lessens over time. So with a bit of additional aging this will be an even better beer.

We now have a tie for first place between Wayne and George, with Dave Williams not far behind in third place. After that, it drops off sharply, so these are the brewers still in contention with two more competitions left in the 2002 series.
