Exec. Committee & General Meeting Notes

Well, this is going to be very short. Not much happened at either this month's exec meeting or the regular meeting. The Novembeer meeting will be at Nancy & Craig Birkmeir's, on Friday Dec. 6th. The December meeting will be at Sara & Dave Perez's on Friday Jan. 3rd. We have one 32oz bottle of Star San available and lots of PBW. Let us know what you want before the meeting and we'll arrange to have it available. Also, let us know if you want glassware or t-shirts.

We need to choose a fruit or spice beer to represent the club in the AHA Club-Only Competition that we will be hosting on Dec. 14th. If you have a fruit or spice beer that you'd like to send, please get your entry to Richard Furlong or Dave Perez by Mid-November. We will then have a judging to choose the best beer.

Very little business was done at the Sept. Meeting and we quickly moved to the presentation/tasting. Sue presented on Brown Ales. We did discuss the idea of moving to other types of presentations in addition or instead of the typical presentation/tastings we've been doing. These could be technical presentations, or something from brewing history, etc. Or different types of tastings such as breweries from a particular country, or area of the our country, etc. We need volunteers (or you WILL BE VOLUNTEERED), so think about it and let Dave know if you come up with a good idea.

Well, that's about it …. Either not much happened, or my note taking was slack. Actually, it was probably a bit of both. I'll try to do better next time, or you can volunteer to take minutes. Remember, Dave wants everyone to do more services for the club. And this might be a good one, I've certainly been doing a poor job.
