Or perhaps a case where our hopes won out over the much scarier nightmare 
alternative; the alcohol industry seems to be recognizing that Malternatives 
are a fad that is destined to flop. They are scaling back on previous huge 
advertising campaigns, much to the chagrin of Madison Avenue. Check out the
