Adventures in Cybeerspace

I recently found a link to an online English language version of one of the premier technical brewing magazines, Brauwelt. Like many online magazines, this site is a teaser in that only a few articles are actually online (especially in English), but it's still well worth surfing. The articles are geared towards professional brewing scientists so the geek quotient is high. Luckily, we've got some 'translators' in the club - you can ask George, Bruce, Dr. Bob, Pete, or now Frederick for help when necessary. http://www.brauwelt.de/englisch/index.htm
An interesting brew-pub and the story of its beginnings (click on Saga at upper left). A touch of reality to balance the occasional glass of fantasy· http://www.sonic.net/~wwpints/
Gregg and Sandra had a wonderful time in Ireland and brought back some beers from the Biddy Early micro-brewery to share with us. I found the following link on the Red Biddy, a very interesting beer though I think the Black Biddy was the hands down favorite. Wish I'd known that Red Biddy used gale (bog myrtle) rather than hops for flavoring - though hops are used for bittering. http://www.bunitedint.com/RedBiddy.html
