Bubblings From the Fermenter
By Dave Perez

Well as is becoming a ritual for Mark and I, the Bubblings are late and Mark is forced to whine and complain until I complete them. A wonderful symbiotic relationship. If I've ever seen one. He hasn't figured out yet that I need a beer in hand in order to get the creative juices flowing. After read many of my past bubblings you may be thinking, "he had a beer too many." But, be that as it may, here I am again, for better or worse, late again.

I wanted to take a minute to discuss the absolutely fantastic meeting we had in July at Wayne and Sue's house. Two of our very best members, Dave P and George P, presented Kolsch and Alt's in a most creative way. So many people have said that they are getting tired of the same format of presenting some info about the style of the month and passing around some great commercial examples. Are we getting jaded or what? The real jist here is not that Dave and George are probably the world's best beer presenters (and we all know they are), rather it is that we need some more creative ideas to keep us interested. Our game show theme was kind of fun and people seemed to enjoy getting all those great prizes.

So the challenge for those of you who will be presenting in the coming months, will be to make your presentation a little different. You still need to stay within the $50 budget and need to keep it somewhat informative. Of course, no one expects you to reach the level of expertise and professionalism that Dave and George perform at, but we do look forward to seeing the deep dark underbelly of your mind as well.
