Home Brewer of the Year 2001 Points

Well, now it's all over; but it wasn't decided till the final competition results were in. This year we had more entries, from more brewers than ever before. The final results were extremely close - six brewers were within striking distance at the end. Finally, when the dust settled, Richard Furlong is our new Brewer of the Year, 2001. Congratulations, Richard, for your victory.

And a new tradition has begun. Richard was presented with the new BOTY Cask Trophy. The winner will keep this new perpetual trophy for the year. A brass plate will be added each year with the year and winner's name. Gift certificates from Heart's Homebrew Supply were given to the first, second, and third place winners.

Hopefully, the 2002 BOTY competition series will build on the great participation and competition we saw this year. So keep those fermenters bubbling and remember, you can't win unless you enter.
