March Meeting Minutes
By Sue Smith

The March party and meeting combination was held at the home of Wayne and Sue Smith. In celebration of the good work done at the Medieval Faire, the kegs of Guinness and Bass were tapped and there was much merriment and good food.

The meeting was more quiet and attentive than usual, since bellies were full and everyone had had a chance to talk. The canoe trip was brought up and discussed. We can either use the Canoe Outpost with the advantage of no trouble putting in and being returned to our cars, or we can borrow enough canoes (Bob Bates has three) and put in at the 27 bridge, which requies shuttling cars back and forth to the springs before and after the run. No decision was made, so let Erin know how you feel. The next meeting will be too late to make this decision.

Dave Williams gave a talk on lagers with help from Bradley Dilger dispensing a good selection of, not only American and European lagers, but more unusual beers such as Schwartzbier, Bock, and Doppelbock.

A last call was made for beers for this month's contest.

When the discussion turned to the Friday-or-Saturday party-or-meeting question, Sue and Wayne volunteered to host a party each month, themselves, to ensure there would be a party without anyone getting into an uproar because a meeting was held on a Saturday instead of Friday or that it was combined with a party. This way, there will be both Friday meeting and Saturday parties and everyone should be happy.
