Mark Tumarkin Receives AHA BOA Nomination
By Mark Tumarkin

Well, it's now official. I have been nominated as a candidate for the American Homebrewers Association's Board of Advisors. The candidates' statements and ballots are in the current issue of Zymurgy. Note - you will receive Zymurygy , and can vote only if you're an AHA member.

How many of you are members? I don't have the national name recognition of some of the candidates. I need all the votes I can get. And since this is an election, I hope the electorate doesn't hold the fact that I'm from Florida against me. I'll promise not to demand a recount (well, at least I won't if I win). Hmmm, maybe this could be a useful campaign tactic - I'll threaten endless recounts unless they vote for me.

Seriously though, the last national elections were a lesson that your vote does count. And now you can vote for a candidate that you really want to win - how many times do you get the chance to do that in political elections.

So, if you vote for me I'll buy you a beer - that used to work in the old days, I'll bet it's still a good tactic; at least in this election.
