An Evening with Florida Brewers (and Pub Crawl)

As a prelude to the Hogtown Brew-Off, some of Florida's best professional brewers invite you to join us in downtown Gainesville Friday evening May 14th, for a Beer and Food pairing followed by a walking pub crawl where you will be able to enjoy fine craft beers from Florida and beyond.
The evening begins at 6:30pm at the new Palomino Pool Hall, with an opportunity to sample all five Swamp Head Brewery year-round craft ales. The Swamp Head tasting is open to the public, which will be able to purchase samples of all five beers for five bucks - the Swamp Head Five for Five tasting. This tasting and a Swamp Head taster glass are included in the $25 ticket price for the Food and Beer pairing that will take place on the patio at the Palomino starting at 7:30pm.
Our "executive chef" Nancy Birkmaier is working with Florida brewers to pair their beers with gourmet small plates - Nancy has been the driving force behind the wonderful lunches you have come to expect at the Hogtown Brew-Off. We are working with Florida breweries to provide some unique beers that pair well with the range of small plates that will be offered. This event will provide a relaxed atmosphere where home brewers and professional brewers can talk about our craft while enjoying great beers and food.
After the Beer and Food pairing event, join us for a Walking Pub Crawl, where you can visit six fine establishments that serve a wide range of craft beers, including those from Swamp Head and Cigar City. We are working with Stubbies Shirt Pub and The Alcove to offer some limited release beers from Swamp Head and Cigar City.
The Five for Five Beer tasting and the Walking Pub Crawl are open to the public, and those attending the Brew-Off who choose not to join us for the Beer and Food pairing.

Tickets will also be available for purchase Friday May 14th during pre-judging for the Brew-Off. The Beer and Food pairing event will be limited to 50 tickets, so please reserve your space soon.
